İnegazi is a settlement founded by yoruks (settled nomads) of the Karakeçili tribe. The starting point of the İnegazi-Tahtalı trail, is reached by Üçpınar road, passing inside İnegazi Quarter. After you start your hike at the coffeehouse of Inegazi square heading towards the direction of Üçpınar Quarter, the road crossing the iron bridge starts rising and turns into asphalt.

After approximately 1 kilometre, you will see a path on the right side of the road, which is the strating point to the trail. The area of the road coming from İnegazi consists of rocky ground. The unpaved road turning towards the North from Aşlama Ridge, advances from its beginning among oak tree woods consisting the dense flora the region. The trail turns towards the left approximately 750 metres after the marble quarries located at Kurugöl Hill on the ridge line, and then continues in the direction of Erin Hill. The Bostanlı Stream which flows in the valley on the left, is the water source for Kayapa Pond. The path which starts to descend towards the West in the direction of Erin Hill and then Erintaşı Hill, passes among pine trees and dense oak tree woods.

The trail, which at some parts advances in the form of a narrow path, first heads towards the bed of Kayapa Pond and then descends for 1,5 kilomerte towards the North parallelly to the pond coast. While you follow the path descending towards the pond, follow the Mysia Ways direction signs. The unpaved road used by vehicles, which turns towards the right at the entrance of Kayapa Pond Picnic Area, heads towards Tahtalı Quarter. After hiking for 1 kilometre on the marked path, which your will see while you are descending, at a point 750 metres after the picnic area, you will arrive at Tahtalı Quarter.
