B4 Kuruçeşme – Maksempınar – Hasanağa
This 16.5 km route stretches from Kuruçeşme to Hasanağa via Maksempınar. To reach the starting point in Kuruçeşme, use the B2 or B3 routes through İnegazi.
Heading north from Kuruçeşme, the route descends for 2.5 km before turning left at the Kayapa-Maksempınar junction, then climbs from 370 m to 485 m toward Yokuşbalı Hill. This area has marble quarries, so be alert for heavy vehicle traffic, especially trucks descending to Kayapa.
Maksempınar is the largest and most organized settlement in the mountains - a good spot for a break. From the sign on the right side of the asphalt below the village, follow the road to Kocaoğlak Stream picnic area. After 1.4 km of rough asphalt, you’ll reach the site beneath Kocakıvırcık Hill - a great place to rest and refill water.
Turn right at the signpost and continue on the dirt road. The trail follows the ridge to the left of Değirmenler Stream, passes between village houses, and then under the Maksempınar fire watchtower through oak groves. After 1.8 km, it merges with the Unçukuru-Hasanağa asphalt. Turn right, go 500 m, and turn right again onto a dirt road at the signpost. The route passes under Kocayokuş and Yeldeğirmen Hills, skirts the pond’s left side, and reaches Hasanağa after 5 km.
To head to the city center, follow the B9 route toward Kayapa and Tahtalı.
